After Dartmouth Larry joined the U.S. Air Force and for five and a half years flew all over the world as a navigator on a B-52 bomber, attaining the rank of captain during the Vietnam War. In 1995 he became president of the National Retail Services Co., guiding it through two sales to major corporations across seven years. He owned a cabin cruiser for many years and boated from Maine to the Cape Cod Islands in Massachusetts and even cruised to New York City for the tall ships celebration in 1976. Larry established a soccer league in Fairfield, Connecticut, and coached many young players. He is survived by his wife, Bobbi, two children, and two grandchildren.
