Hi, ’06s. I hope everyone enjoyed the summer and is having a good start to the fall.

Congratulations to Dr. Manya Whitaker on being appointed Colorado College’s 15th president! Manya has served in numerous faculty and leadership roles at the college since 2011, including professor and chair of the education department, executive vice president, chief of staff, and most recently, interim president.

Carrie (Rooke) Monahan and Tom Monahan welcomed their third child in May, a boy named Harrison Levi. He joins older siblings Catherine (6) and Natalie (3) and Jammy (their dog). They live in Jersey City, New Jersey. Congratulations, Carrie and Tom!

Once again this year our 2006 Class Day celebrations took place on June 6. Thank you to Chrissy Reinhold, Meredith (Curtis) Laguna, Cindy Tsai, and Amanda Prentice for planning events in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. Other classmates attending included Phil Harrison, Yiyi Ma, Constantinos Neophytou, Jacquelene Moghaddam, Elkin Cabas, Ricky Cole, Rajiv Dhar, Pat Lee, Willa Rose Johnson, and Aida Bounama. In San Francisco attendees celebrated their one-year “friendiversary”—after meeting at 06/06 day last year. In Chicago the weather was beautiful for early June and classmates enjoyed food, drink, and conversation at a spot downtown in the Fulton Market West Loop area. And in New York the party continued with karaoke for some after the official class event ended!
