Class Note 2001

Issue

July-August 2025

Happy summer, ’01s. Shiriki C. Jones was recently appointed general counsel and chief compliance officer for Premier Transportation, a nationwide logistics provider specializing in providing integrated transportation and logistics solutions to the retail and consumer products industries. Faith Barter, an English professor at the University of Oregon, published a new book, Black Pro Se: Authorship and the Limits of Law in Nineteenth-Century African American Literature, with the University of North Carolina Press. Congrats to you both!

Louisa Sadler Gauthier wrote in about a great ’01 getaway including fortuitous encounters with even more ’01s. Louisa shared, “Bonnie Jeanne Regan Gerhart, Megan Hitchner Ketchum, Ryan Fagan Pandolfini ’02, and I had a lovely weekend getaway in Hanover this April. We were thrilled to bump into Jared Fry, Carrie Hoverman Colla, Chiara Grabill, Jenny Harsey, and Erica Morgenstein during our adventure. We had the cruller French toast at Lou’s, followed by delightful dinners at the charming Norwich Inn, and indulged in some retail therapy at Simon Pearce—all the top hits.” Finally, I was in Washington, D.C., for some work meetings and ran into Matt Deninger in a hotel lobby. Matt was there representing Massachusetts for the Council of Chief State School Officers annual legislative conference to discuss the major topics in public education. Class of ’01s are everywhere!
