LeeAnn Agnelli Horton ’87

Issue

Jul - Aug 2012

LeeAnn Agnelli Horton ’87 passed away peacefully at her Needham, Massachusetts, home on February 26 after a six-year battle with cancer. LeeAnn was loved and cherished by her husband of 21 years, Kenneth, their children Anna Katharine, Sophie Lee and Andrew Kenneth and a large extended family. LeeAnn was born in Toronto, Ontario, and grew up in Naples, Florida, where she was valedictorian of Lely High School. She graduated from Dartmouth and Boston College Law School. LeeAnn volunteered at Greater Boston Legal Services after law school and before moving to Paris, where she specialized in U.S. expatriate taxation in KPMG’s Paris office. She transferred back to Boston with KPMG. Nurturing her family was LeeAnn’s priority. She and Ken met at Dartmouth and were soul mates for more than a quarter century. LeeAnn relished hiking, biking, Nordic skiing and snorkeling. Her family and many friends benefited from her passion for baking; her decorated treats were a sign of her deep love for her own children and their friends. She savored a good bowl of pasta and trying a new red wine. She enjoyed driving over the speed limit. She appreciated a good joke. The two enduring images are of LeeAnn sitting on the sunny docks of her grandparent’s Muskoka, Ontario, cottage as her children swam in Little Lake Joe, and chatting with Ken in a shady blue cabana while watching Katie, Sophie and Andrew play on her favorite Big Island, Hawaii, beach following a morning snorkel or hike.
