John M. Palmiero ’04

John M. Palmiero ’04 passed away on January 16. He was the cherished son of John and Bernadette, brother of Christina and husband George and godfather of Robert, who survive, along with two sets of grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. John came to Hanover from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. John loved his years at Dartmouth and the friends he made there. Dartmouth friends adored John for many reasons, including his infectious smile, kindness, humor and love for adventure. His energy and love of others were simply contagious. Friends recall John’s all-night poker games during freshman year, booming voice and New York personality. All who knew John knew that he treated close friends as if they were family, and family was the most important thing to him. A visitation was held at Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home in Brooklyn and a funeral Mass was held at St. Athanasius Church.
