John C. Osborn ’45

John C. Osborn ’45 died on April 13 at the Highlands of Pittsford, New York. He was born on June 12, 1923, and raised in Ithaca, New York. John graduated from Dartmouth and Cornell Law School, and practiced law for 60 years at Osborn, Reed & Burke. He served as Pittsford village attorney from 1956 until his retirement from the practice of law in 2010. He was the class treasurer for 35 years and marched in the Alumni Band as a drummer. John was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during WW II. He is survived by his wife, Janice; daughter Jennifer; daughter Heidi and husband Gary; son David and wife Debbie; grandchildren Alex, Anna, Ryan, Kelly, Nicholas and Michaela; nephew Rob and wife Marybeth; niece Agda and husband Kevin; mother-in-law Nancy; and sister-in-law Barbara and husband Phil and their families. John was fair, respected everyone and cherished his life. He was a proud American who was dedicated to God and his country, and was grateful that he was able to contribute to the freedoms we enjoy today.
