Howard Z. Hirshberg ’47

Howard Z. Hirshberg ’47 of Melbourne, Florida, died on May 27, 2015. He grew up in Haverhill, Massachusetts, where he attended high school. In the V-12 program in college, he majored in economics. He joined his father’s shoe business and moved to Manchester, New Hampshire, to establish facilities in Pittsfield, Newmarket and Laconia, New Hampshire. His long career in the shoe business included working in Brazil, China and Hong Kong until 1993, when he retired to Melbourne. He especially liked interacting with people socially and in business. He is survived by his wife and three children.
