Frank C. Myers ’43

Frank C. Myers ’43 died September 26, 2015, at his home in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania. “Sandy” grew up in Caldwell, New Jersey, and graduated from Blair Academy, where he was an honor student, worked on the school paper and yearbook and played football, golf and tennis. At Dartmouth Sandy was a member of Bones Gate and Delta Tau Delta. During the war Sandy served in the 292nd Ordinance Maintenance Co. in New Guinea and the Philippines. He married Almia Miller in 1949 and they began farming outside York Springs, Pennsylvania. His first farm was purchased with his military salary, which he had sent home to his parents. Through the years he acquired two other, much larger farms. Active in the community, Sandy served on the Dillsburg zoning and school boards and was involved with the historical society. He was an avid reader, specially enjoying history and genealogy, but most important of all was his time with his family. Sandy was predeceased by daughter Susan. He is survived by Almia; children Dora, Frank Jr., Elizabeth, Mary and Andrea; 11 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
