Edwin Jordan Masters ’67

Edwin Jordan Masters ’67, M.D., of Sikeston, Missouri, died June 21, 2009. Ed came to college from the Advance (Missouri) High School, majored in economics and was a Theta Delta Chi. He earned an M.D. from the University of Tennessee in 1971. He was board certified in family practice. He practiced in Cape Giradeau and Sikeston, Missouri, spending a significant part of his life in search of, and treating, tick-borne diseases. He found time to mentor young physicians and budding student scientists. Ed leaves behind his wife, Jackie, children Erin, Ryan, Jordan and Reid and four grandchildren. Don Garni ’67 offered the notion that Ed probably found classmate Charlie Farnum “up there” and they’re raising hell together.
