Edward Gerson ’35

Edward Gerson ’35, a retired button manufacturer and plastics innovator who had been living in Laguna Woods, California, died October 23, 2015. He attended Lawrence (New York) High School and at Dartmouth was a history and political science double major. After earning his degree he joined his father’s button-manufacturing business in Long Island, New York, married Lynn Telles and raised their children, Douglas and Patricia. He rose to president of the family firm, Patrician Plastic Corp., before selling the firm in 1965 and then working as a business broker. He was very involved in Dartmouth, serving as class secretary since 2001, Alumni Fund volunteer and class agent (1990-2001), a board member of the Dartmouth Club of Orange County since 2010 and member of the Moosilauke Forum. He was predeceased by wives Lynn and Joy and son Douglas. He is survived by his third wife, Heidi, and daughter Patricia.
