Edward Carleton Palmer ’67

Edward Carleton Palmer ’67, M.D., of Marble Falls, Texas, died in September 2015 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts, majored in English, was a member of Alpha Theta, earned an M.D. from Cornell Medical School in 1971 and served as a physician in the U.S. Navy at bases in Yokosuka, Japan, and San Diego, California. He worked as an anesthesiologist at Bassett Memorial Hospital in Cooperstown, New York, until his retirement in 2005. Ed enjoyed many hobbies: In addition to motorcycle riding, he owned vintage cars and was an avid recreational aviator and flight instructor. Ed is survived by his wife, Lolly, and children Brent, Nancy and Tara.
