Donald Thomas Harrington ’54

Donald Thomas Harrington ’54 passed away on January 27, 2015, in Poulsbo, Washington. “Deke” came to Dartmouth from New York City, where he attended Xavier High School. At Dartmouth he was a sociology major and a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon. After graduating from Dartmouth he served in the U.S. Army and then went to work at advertising firm S.S.C.&B. He started out in 1956 in the mailroom and retired as vice president in 1989. After retiring, Zeke volunteered at the Bainbridge (Washington) Library finance committee and the Matt Talbot Addiction Recovery Center and served with the Bainbridge Island student loan committee, AARP tax assistance and the St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Deke is survived by his wife, Jane, and sons Thomas and Paul.
