Donald Robert Ryan ’48

Donald Robert Ryan ’48, a 55-year resident of Wilmette and Kenilworth, Illinois, died peacefully on November 28, 2011, in Malibu, California, where he and his wife of 57 years, Helen, were visiting to welcome their 20th grandchild. Don received his A.B. in 1948 and M.B.A. from Tuck School in 1949. He was a member of the Phi Delta Alpha/Phi Delta Theta and an active class supporter after graduation, serving as newsletter editor in the 1950s and on the Alumni Council in the 1980s and the class major gift committee in the 1990s. Bob is survived by his wife, their six children, all in the Chicago area, and his sister Joyce.
