Donald M. Armistead ’47

Donald M. Armistead ’47 died December 14, 2016, in Seattle. He was born in Winchester, New Hampshire, and grew up in Haverill, Massachusetts, where he graduated from Haverill High School. He entered college in the V-12 program, served as an ensign in the U.S. Navy Reserve and graduated from Thayer in 1949. He then took a job with Parsons Engineering in New York City and in 1962 moved to Seattle to work for Boeing. He served as a Scout leader, sang in his church choir and participated in various social activities. He retired in 1989 and enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by a daughter.
