Burton Lee Albert ’63 died June 19, 2013, at home in Roanoke, Virginia. Burt was born in Sioux City, Iowa, a place he was very fond of and spoke of often.
Morris Joseph Kramer ’63 of New York City died April 19, 2013. The cause was complications of prostate cancer, his son Oliver ’02 told The New York Times. Morris grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and attended Fort Hamilton High School.
Timothy Bissell ’63 of Carson City, Nevada, died of cancer, March 26, 2012, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. Tim was born in Anaconda, Montana, and moved with his parents to Carson City as a child. He joined the U.S.
Mirick Friend ’63 of Tuftonboro, New Hampshire, died March 18, 2012, at home surrounded by his family. He had been suffering from cancer, according to Bill Whiting ’63.
David Butler ’63 died unexpectedly January 10 at Thonburi Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. A native of Wakefield, Massachusetts, David graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth as an English major and senior fellow.
Philip Lloyd Fisher ’63, a lawyer and businessman, died March 27. He resided in Lexington, Massachusetts. At Dartmouth Phil was a brother of Alpha Chi Rho and member of the Glee Club, Green Key and lightweight crew.
Thomas L. Gladders ’63 died April 13 of a suspected heart attack, in Webster Groves, Missouri. Born in Carbondale, Illinois, Tom moved to Ladue, Missouri, at the age of 9.
Peter F. Stevenson ’63 died May 30 in Danvers, Massachusetts. He lived in Rockport, Massachusetts. Peter was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, and grew up in Reading, Massachusetts.
Frederick Alexander Doane ’63 died November 12, 2011, at his residence in East Dorset, Vermont. Fred was born in Boston, grew up in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, and graduated from Wakefield (Massachusetts) High School.
Richard Dickson Arendt ’63 died June 11, 2011, on the way to a hospital in Napa, California, after collapsing from a heart attack in the gift shop of the Sonoma Barracks, where he was working as a park volunteer.
