Lowell B. Dana ’58 died at his home in Muskegon, Michigan, on February 27. He majored in history and participated in the DOC, Interdormitory Council, and Army ROTC.
Richard E. Schaedle ’58 died May 22, 2021. Dick was an economics major, a member of Phi Kappa Psi, and the Army ROTC drill team. After earning his degree from Tuck, he completed his M.B.A.
Laurence M. Scoville Jr. ’58 passed away on February 27 in Charleston, South Carolina, after a battle with cancer. Larry was an English major, rowed crew at Dartmouth, and was a brother of Kappa Sigma.
Joel A. Farrell ’58 died on July 5, 2021, in Arizona. He grew up in Schenectady, New York, majored in economics, and was very active in DOC and with Winter Carnival.
Phillip B. Stoddard ’58, M.D., passed away peacefully at home on March 10. Phil grew up in Batavia, New York, and spent his adult years in Springfield, Massachusetts.
John R. Germani ’58 died on June 24, 2020. John was an economics major, a brother at Beta Theta Pi, and was active in the Newman Club and Army ROTC. He received an M.B.A.
Thomas L. Green ’58 died in Florida on October 16, 2020, after a long illness. Tom came to Dartmouth from Shaker Heights, Ohio, and moved to Miami in 1962.
Oluf J. Sundeen ’58 died on September 6, 2021. Ole grew up in North Dakota and years later settled in San Antonio, Texas. At Dartmouth he was a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa and majored in geology.
George R. Hammel ’58 passed away on October 18, 2021. He grew up in Scarsdale, New York, and came to Hanover after having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Donald R. Thomas ’58 passed away on October 18, 2020. Don was an English major and a Phi Gamma brother. He captained the freshman hockey team and then played varsity.
