Robert W. Jeavons ’48 died on April 2 at Harvard Square in Denver. Bob was born May 25, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio, and served in the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II.
David A. Walsh ’48 died in Washington, D.C., on December 14, 2012, after a short illness. He was born in 1924 and was in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 into 1945 before coming to Dartmouth.
Austin H. Gedney ’48 of Claremont, New Hampshire, died from cancer on December 12, 2012. “Bud” graduated from Mamaroneck (New York) High School in 1944 and Dartmouth in 1948.
Paul H. Johnston ’48 of Indianapolis, Indiana, died October 7, 2012. He served in the US Army Counter Intelligence Corps and graduated from Dartmouth in 1948 and Indiana University School of Law in 1955.
Allan W. McKee ’48 of Millersville, Pennsylvania, died on March 20, 2012, in the Calvary Fellowship Homes in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Allan W. and Hazel Smith McKee.
Jerome B. King ’48 died on October 13, 2012, at his home in Kendal at Hanover in the presence of his immediate family. Jerry was born in New York City on May 1, 1927, to Dorothy Babcock and Robert W. King.
Thomas V. Rafferty ’48 died from cancer on August 12, 2012, in Marietta, Georgia. Tom graduated from the Boston Latin School, joined the Navy V-12 in March 1944 and was assigned to Dartmouth.
