John Groe Rogers ’47 of Annandale, Virginia, died June 13, 2014. He was born April 27, 1926. After high school he was assigned to Dartmouth in the V-12 program.
Walter I. Francis ’47 of Spartanburg, North Carolina, died May 13. He grew up in Hopedale, Massachusetts, where he attended General Draper High School. He qualified for the V-12 program and was assigned to Dartmouth.
James W. Conceison ’47 of Needham, Massachusetts, died on March 1. He was assigned to Dartmouth in the Navy V-12 unit, graduated, served in the Navy and retired as an ensign in the Navy Reserve. He then joined William Carter Co.
Francis R. Connelly ’47 of Malden Bridge, New York, died April 5 in Albany, New York. He grew up in Schenectady, New York, where he attended Linton High School. He enlisted in the Navy, where he served as a signalman.
Thomas E. Leggat ’47 of Lincoln, Massachusetts, died on April 9 after a long illness. He grew up in Lowell, Massachusetts, and graduated from Deerfield Academy in 1942.
James T. Nixon ’47, M.D., died on April 27 of a massive stroke in Orange, Connecticut. He was born March 19, 1925, grew up and attended high school in West Haven, Connecticut.
George Robert Dalphin ’47 died unexpectedly on January 5 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born in Malone, New York, on July 30, 1926; grew up in Brooklyn, New York; and attended Brooklyn Technical High School.
William B. Harding ’47 died on January 13 in Westwood, Massachusetts. He was born July 7, 1925, in Braintree, attended Thayer Academy and joined the class as one of the few civilians in the summer of 1943.
John J. Zimmerman ’47 died on January 6 at his home in Keene, New Hampshire. He was born in Keene on February 14, 1926, and attended Keene High School.
Everett R. Nordstrom ’47 died November 21, 2015, in Kennebunk, Maine. He was born November 18, 1923, in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he attended high school.
