Class Note 2014
Issue
September-October 2023
Another summer and another reunion in the books. I’m writing this only days after returning to London from Hanover and still find myself in a bit of a jet lag haze and post-reunion daze. It was great to see so many of you around campus and at the class tent, and I hope those of you who made it had a great reunion weekend, even with Saturday’s crazy rain! Thank you to reunion chairs Amber Porter, Bam Willoughby, Brian Flint, Jamilah Mena, and the rest of the reunion committee for putting in the hard work during the past months.
Some reunions statistics and accomplishments: More than 250 ’14s were in attendance, and we raised $201,963 for the Dartmouth College Fund, exceeding our reunion goal of $200,000. We also managed to consume every single cruller at Lou’s by 10 a.m. Sunday, Saturday night we ran Murphy’s out of martini cups, and—I hear this is unprecedented—cleared Stinson’s shelves of every last case of Keystone (I assume the other reunion classes helped, so I guess we can’t take full credit). But on to the updates.
Christine Kerr was engaged to Connor Dodds this spring and writes in,“Connor and I are planning on getting married in California in April 2024. I am finishing up my anesthesiology residency in Portland, Maine, and am in the process of applying to interventional pain management fellowships. Connor will be looking to start a master’s in political science as well.”
Harriett Gabbidon and Harold Arzu got married in March in Boston. Many ’14s were in attendance, and the wedding party included Ellen (Daily) Stephen, Delanyo Kpo, Tyné Freeman ’17, and Crystal Williams ’15 as maid-of-honor.
Kathleen Herring married Adam Grant on June 10 in Asheville, North Carolina, with first-year trippie Kristen Flint in the wedding party.
Marissa Wizig married Andrew Klegman in June in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, with lots of ’14s in attendance. Lindsay (Mandel) Foley was a bridesmaid and Erin Abraham signed the ketubah. Marissa and Andrew met in business school, where mutual friend Julie Shabto told them to look out for each other. They are currently spending a few months in the Boston area while they figure out where they want to settle down.
Meg (Guard) Andriola matched into psychiatry at Columbia after graduating from Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis. She plans on focusing on reproductive psychiatry. Meg and husband Mark Andriola moved to N.Y.C., where Mark is a corporate associate at Wachtell Lipton.
Cheers, ’14s! Keep sending your updates to dartmouth2014classnotes@gmail.com!
