Class Note 2014
Issue
May-June 2023
By the time you read this, it will almost be time for our 10th (well, ninth) reunion! Be sure to register and mark your calendars for June 16-18. Whether over pong tables or Baker tables, we’ll all be catching up and swapping stories soon, but in the meantime, some classmate news.
After a brief stint at Moosilauke, Krystyna Oszkinis settled across the Connecticut River in Norwich, Vermont, where she and her partner started their ecological landscaping company Rooted Gardens. Krystyna writes, “Rooted Gardens strives to make the landscaping industry greener through electric mowing, native garden design, and holistic plant care. We especially enjoy designing projects for fellow alumni and employing a few Dartmouth students (’25s!) during the growing season.” Krystyna looks forward to reconnecting with friends from near and far during reunions!
Frank Wang graduated with his M.B.A. from London Business School in summer 2020 and is now based in Hong Kong, working in investment banking at JP Morgan. His work covers the Asia-Pacific market, and he’s eager to get back to travelling globally. At reunion Frank is looking forward to seeing everyone after 10 years and to playing a real game of pong. Frank writes, “It would be great if we can arrange a beer pong tournament, beer post-college tastes too rich for pong. I missed New Hampshire a lot, just good to see the beautiful town again.”
Grace (McDevitt) Loveland and her husband, Sam, welcomed Liam Douglas Loveland on November 28. He is very excited to make his first trip to Dartmouth for reunion this June!
Dennis Wu and Dedeepya Konuthula had a mini Covid wedding in Pittsburgh in 2021 (with a lot of Dartmouth friends joining via livestream) and are now living in Chicago.
To steal an update from Dartmouth alumni’s annual feature, “Big Green Love Stories,” Don Casler married Taylor Malmsheimer ’15 in August. The couple met while working as editors for The Dartmouth. They write, “We’re moving to Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, this summer since Don will be starting a new job as a professor at the University of Illinois. We’re excited to explore the Midwest!”
Currently working on her master’s at Harvard Divinity School, Morgan Curtis hosted a workshop on “Mobilizing wealth and class privilege for social justice” as part of Women of Dartmouth’s Thrive series on February 3. Catch up on past Thrive programs at women.dartmouth.org.
I’m sure the upcoming weekend in Hanover will inspire you to send plenty of reunion stories and updates our way, at dartmouth2014classnotes@gmail.com. See you in June!
