Dartmouth alumni relations kicked off its new recurring web series “Big Green BFFs” in January with Meegan Daigler, Kaitlin Maier, and Ariana Sopher, cofounders of women’s healthcare startup Reia. The series looks at groups of alumni friends and how they stay connected. Meegan, Kaitlin, and Ariana discuss becoming friends during engineering classes, dyeing their hair pink during a fifth-year Thayer project, and the strong bonds formed through teamwork.

This summer Karen Wai will graduate from her ophthalmology residency with Harvard; she will next be at Stanford for her fellowship in surgical retina.

Chris Megrue graduated from Harvard Business School.

Kathleen Herring was engaged to Adam Grant in November at Morrow Mountain State Park, North Carolina. Kathleen is currently in her second year of internal medicine residency at Wake Forest.

Vicky Stein has started making and selling beautiful handmade books. She writes: “I loved book arts as a kid and have returned to it in a big way this past year, crafting, selling and teaching open-spine bookbinding. It combines my love of sewing with newer interests in painting and drawing.” Check out Vicky’s latest creations on her Briar Books and Goods Instagram account.

Iris Yu married Benjamin Beames in a small ceremony in New York City last May. Iris is currently attending Harvard Business School and would love to get reconnected with any other ’14s who are in Boston!

October saw quite a Russell Sage reunion at the wedding of freshman floor mates John Canning and Alexia Pereira in Philadelphia. Renee Lai and Steve Muenzen tied the knot in Austin this past December. Lots of Dartmouth friends were in attendance, including Kristen Flint, Stefan Deutsch, Cassie Hartt, Dravid Joseph, Dela Kpo, Eric Waskowicz, Brendan Nagle, Alex Styk, Alex Kim, Brian Flint, Jessica Womack, Harry Gates, Joy Piotrowski ’13, Vikram Narayan ’15, and, of course, Steve’s dad, Chuck Muenzen ’80.

Rachael Bornstein and Aaron Mondshine were married on the beach in Miami on February 20. Alison Levens Zhao, Liz Lubiak, Juliet Hollingsworth, Lilly Maguire, and Cohle Fowler were in the wedding party, with plenty of other alums in attendance, including ’14s Kalon and Ellen (Daily) Stephen.

Alison Levens Zhao and Dong Zhao ’13 welcomed their daughter, Laney Blake Zhao, on December 20, 2021. She’s already counting down the days until her DOC trip!
