Alex Abate won’t make it to reunion because he just moved to the Republic of Korea—2025 is shaping up to be a big year for him and his wife, Christina: second child, second master’s, another overseas military move, and a promotion. He’s devastated that he will miss reunion, and he would love to catch up! He’s hoping everyone has fun and makes a few throw saves. Julia DeWahl and her husband, Dan Romero, welcomed a third boy to their family, Frederick “Fritz” DeWahl Romero, in December 2024. The year 2024 was a big one for Elise (Hogan) Goldberg’s family. In the spring they made their way back to Hanover for a reunion of the Dodecaphonics and were overjoyed to see fellow ’09s Kyle Lad and Marley McMillan. In November they welcomed their son, Robin, who joins siblings Jane and Luke. Johanna Hauer had the honor of marrying an incredible man, Dan Walsh, in Boston in January. It was an intimate gathering of family and friends, and they were fortunate to have Jessica Lane, Katie Miller Wiltsey, and Clare and Kyle Fortune-Lad celebrating with them! Alan Hess proposed to his girlfriend, Andrea Patton, in February. They are planning their wedding in Boston for spring 2026. Johannes Lohmann moved to Luxembourg with his family (which now includes two small children). He works on climate innovation and cleantech for the European Investment Bank. Go say hi if you’re in Luxembourg for whatever reason! Emily Esfahani Smith is moving to Fayetteville, Arkansas, and would love to connect to any Dartmouth alums out there!
