Class Note 2001

Issue

March-April 2025

Spring is near, ’01s, and you have been busy. In work news, Richard Baek was recently sworn in as a magistrate judge in Arizona’s Maricopa County Superior Court with his first rotation on the criminal bench.

It is great to share so many ’01 gatherings. Joe Sondheimer, Bradford McKeown, and Isaac Edson traveled to Birmingham, Alabama, to celebrate the bat mitzvah of Zoe Levine, daughter of Bob and Emily ’05 Levine. They were joined by fellow Dartmouth alums Phil Gerwin ’02, Kevin Goldman ’99, Donald Hess ’70, and George LaMaistre ’70. Former roommates were reunited when Miriam Ingber, Tammy (Gargas) Ferris, Hamilton (Fryer) Reavey, and Benita Perch met up in Copenhagen, Denmark, this fall. They enjoyed lots of delicious food, art, sightseeing, and a little bit of shopping. They also really enjoyed leaving their combined 10 kids at their respective homes under the supervision of Peter Vassilev ’00, Pete Ferris, Kevin Reavey ’02, and Mark Munitz. Debra (Brodsky) Shigley and Karin Goodfellow attended the “Dartmouth on Location” event at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, where they took in some Dali. Miriam and Debra also joined another group that included Julie (Calderon) Rizzo, Alissa (Abbey) Stoltz, Alexis (Vagianos) Siegel, Debbie (Bernstein) Foster, Suzanne (DeVries) Decker, Julia Levy ’02, and me as we gathered in the Catskills in New York. We hiked, did some jigsaw puzzles, and stayed well hydrated thanks to the gift of No Days Off Premium Water provided by Adam Siegel ’00. Until next time!
