Class Note 1964

Issue

January-February 2025

I am Hal Rabner and join Rob Goodman as cosecretaries of the class. My role will be the more traditional one of passing out new (or newly discovered) information provided by or about classmates. We encourage you to send emails to me at hrabner@gmail.com and texts to (973) 868-5417. Rob intends to seek information of classmates via Zoom sessions, Facebook, or other social media. He can be reached at the contact information below.

I attended our 60th reunion in June and enjoyed the camaraderie and programs a lot. Many thanks to Dave Hewitt, Hunt Whitacre, and Roy Lewicki, who led the planning. With the reunion, record-giving levels for a 60th, programs supported, and Zoom meetings, the class of 1964 received a Class of the Year Award from alumni relations. Great work by all on the executive committee and our entire class. We haven’t won such an award for many a decade. With Fritz Corrigan now as president, the class continues to support many projects, including climate research via support of the John Topping Jr. fund. John was a pioneer and founder of the Climate Institute, to which I intend to contribute. Another person who deserves acknowledgment for his contributions is Bill Neukom, who was present at the reunion. Bill, in addition to being former chair of the Dartmouth trustees, continues to support the College and his alma mater, Stanford Law School, and our world as the cofounder of the World Justice Project, which measures annually how each country in the world adheres to the rule of law. Right on. I look forward to hearing from many of you.
