Charles Wilhart Koivun ’54

Charles Wilhart Koivun ’54 passed away on March 31, 2013, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Chuck came to Dartmouth from Moline (Illinois) High School. At Dartmouth he was a brother of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and majored in zoology. Following medical school at the University of Chicago he interned at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital and then in 1965 returned to Moline, where he joined his father in a medical practice, specializing in internal medicine. He had previously served in the Army. He retired in 1973 to Heber Springs. Chuck is survived by his wife, Don Anna, and children Jennifer, Kathryn, Susan, Lisa, Missy, George and Jon.
