Charles Stevers Dickerson ’54

Charles Stevers Dickerson ’54 passed away on September 27, 2013, in Yardley, Pennsylvania, where he resided. Charlie came to Dartmouth from Mount Lebanon (Pennsylvania) High School. He was a brother of Sigma Chi and an economics major. After graduation he entered the Army as a officer stationed at Fort Aberdeen, Maryland. After completing service he began his banking career in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He then moved to Philadelphia to work at First Pennsylvania Bank until 1966. Thereafter he worked in the banking industry in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, specializing in commercial credit. From 1983 until 2009 he headed his own training company, Crossing Financial Consultants, educating young bankers in the risk-management aspects of commercial lending. He was a faculty member of the National Commercial Lending School at Southern Methodist University, the Stonier School of Banking at the University of Delaware and the National School of Finance and Management at Fairfield University He is survived by his wife, Eileen and children Amy, Bonnie, Caitlyn and Jeremy.
