Carl Robert Paulson ’45

Carl Robert Paulson ’45 died March 24 at the UMass Memorial Healthcare-University Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. He came to Dartmouth from Brockton (Massachusetts) High, graduated from the College and Thayer School in 1949. While at Dartmouth he was a member of the Glee Club and Injunaires. During WW II he served with the U.S. Army Signal Corps in Italy. He began his career as the assistant director of the Fred Waring Show, which aired in 1950 and 1951. He became a consultant and owner of OmniMedia Communications and held a number of positions as a national/global product development manager for the broadcast television industry, including time with Ampex Corp. and EG&E in Bedford, Massachusetts. He became an independent high-tech marketing consultant in 1974. He was a member of the Evangelical Congregational Church, Westborough Players Club, Westborough Rotary and Westborough Community Chorus. In 1945 he married Marjorie Norcross, who survives him with children Alan, Kirk, Nancy and Carla and six grandchildren.
