Bernard Richard Siskind ’55

Bernard Richard Siskind ’55 passed away on June 16, 2014. A graduate of Bronx High School of Science, Bernie came to Dartmouth, where he received an A.B. as well as an M.B.A. from Tuck School. Always a New Yorker, Bernie resided in the city with his wife, Pat, who worked for Citibank. He worked first in the clothing industry and then, after selling his business, remained busy in a coop and condo real estate firm. They escaped to East Hampton, New York, for many years in addition to other travel. Bernie was an active alumnus, at one time owning a second home in the Upper Valley. He and Pat missed few Homecomings. Bernie’s work for the class as an officer and executive committee member and on reunion and alumni funds was extensive. He also supported the Hood Museum. A service was held June 19 at Temple Emanu-El, where he and Pat were married 55 years ago. Several ’55s were in attendance and opening remarks were made by Frank Davidson ’55. Bernie is survived by Pat, sons Lawrence ’86 and Peter ’90, two grandchildren and daughter-in-law Judith Cassel ’90.
