Benjamin Kent Tice ’47

Benjamin Kent Tice ’47 of Naples, Florida, died of cancer on February 20. He grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts, and joined the class in the Naval V-12 unit. He majored in economics. As an undergraduate he participated in the Russian club, track and football. He joined Tabard and Sigma Chi. After graduation he served in the Navy from 1948 to 1949. He worked in New York City, California and Honduras before returning to the East in 1958. He started a computer business in 1968 and sold it in 1969. He worked all over Europe as a computer consultant for W.R. Grace. In 1979, he joined Arthur D. Little, for which he traveled to Spain, Venezuela and Arabia as a computer consultant. In retirement he served as vice president of the Bellerive Condominium Association from 2001. Dartmouth relatives include cousins John Bent ’35 and Edward Laskey Jr. ’41 and nephew Ty Burr ’80. He is survived by his wife and two children.
