Arne Rovick ’66

Arne Rovick ’66 passed away on September 8, 2021, from complications of a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Voted class president and “Most Likely to Succeed” at Washburn High School in Minneapolis, Arne was a Phi Delt brother and avid skier at Dartmouth and earned his M.B.A. at Tuck. He spent two years in the Army, rising to captain, and graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School before marrying Edie in 1972. Arne became a partner at Evans, Kitchel & Jenckes Law Firm in Phoenix before returning to his home state of Minnesota to work as vice chairman and general counsel at Edina Realty, the company his Aunt Emma founded. Always living by the motto “work hard, play hard,” Arne pursued his love of downhill skiing annually, be it heli-skiing in the Canadian Rockies or patiently teaching daughter Lindsay on the Colorado slopes. An avid golfer, he served as president of Interlachen Country Club. More recently Arne was a constant fixture at the school plays and sporting events of grandchildren Mia, Alessa, and Leo with his huge grin, beaming with pride. He was a highly accomplished yet humble man full of integrity, a devoted friend, a cherished husband, and a doting father and grandfather. Arne will be remembered for his brilliant mind, quick wit, gentle heart, and a generous spirit that touched everyone he encountered. Memorials may be sent to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
