Leland James Fancher ’49


Leland James Fancher ’49 died on September 15, 2012, in Easton, Maryland, where he lived. Lee came to Dartmouth from Chatham (New Jersey) High School. He captained the soccer team at Dartmouth, and received his master’s in electrical engineering from Thayer. He spent his career as an engineer at Red Devil Tool Co. in Union, New Jersey, and then at Nordson Corp. in Westlake, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Muriel, and three daughters.
