Edward Aloysius McLaughlin ’48


Edward Aloysius McLaughlin ’48 died in Burlingame, California, on July 26, 2010. He came to Dartmouth from Newton, Massachusetts, and Boston Latin School to the Navy V-12 program early in 1944 and was commissioned on July 30, 1945. After his release from the service he came back to Hanover, majored in history and continued to Tuck School for his M.B.A. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta. He moved west to California and spent more than 40 years in the investment management industry in the San Francisco Bay area. Ned belonged to two golf clubs in Ireland and sponsored an annual tournament in the Ballyliffin Club in Donegal. He is survived by his wife, Connie, and children Edward, Chris, Michael and Susan.
