David Hall Fish ’40 of Savannah, Georgia, died July 21, 2009. He came to Dartmouth from Evanston Township (Illinois) High School, majored in physics, was a member of Phi Delta Theta and played freshman and JV football. Dave attended MIT, earning a degree in meteorology. After his military career he used his knowledge of meteorology when he worked for American Airlines. During WW II Dave enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps, served on active duty until 1946 and remained in active reserve, retiring as a colonel in 1978. He joined Montgomery Ward & Co. as a buyer with buying trips to England, Germany, Austria, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Dave was predeceased by his wife, Betty. He is survived by children Joan, Anne and Robert.
