Charles Lyman Meyer ’47


Charles Lyman Meyer ’47 of Washington, New Jersey, died on April 22, 2008. He grew up in Richmond Hill, New York, where he attended high school. He came to the College in the Navy V-12 unit, was active in the Canoe Club and majored in history. He taught history and mathematics in Morristown, New Jersey, and in New York City for a year and earned a bachelor of law degree from St. John’s University Law School. He was an attorney for Transamerica Insurance Co. in Manhattan, Syracuse and Pearl River, New York, and Hillsdale, New Jersey, retiring in 1990. He is survived by six children.
