Alexandra Jean Lee ’07

Alexandra Jean Lee ’07 passed away on January 4 at the Hospice of the North Shore in Massachusetts in peace and surrounded by her family and loved ones. The cause of death was a brain tumor that was diagnosed in June 2009. The beloved daughter of Sun Hee Lee and the late Dr. John Joonjae Lee, Alex graduated from Phillips Academy in 2003 and graduated cum laude from Dartmouth with a bachelor’s in history. Since graduation Alexandra worked in Boston as an analyst for marketing agency Digitas and had planned to enter business school in the fall. She was active in her community in many ways, including leading Dartmouth’s Big Brother/Big Sister program and fundraising for water programs in developing nations. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law Stephen and Helen, Kenneth and Rebecca, and Chris and Melinda; boyfriend Wesley Tjosvold; nieces Caroline and Charlotte; nephew Joshua; and stepfather John C. Kim. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Massachusetts General Hospital/North Shore Cancer Center or to the Korean United Methodist Church of Metro Detroit.
