Class Note 2007
Class of ’07s, reunion fever is in the air! Save the date (June 15-17, 2012) for the five-year reunion in Hanover. Planning is under way, so please stay tuned for more details to come.
As we gear up for our return to Dartmouth, many ’07s are continuing to give back to the College in big ways. Derrick Smith was recently hired as the next assistant director of class activities for Dartmouth. He will be working with the senior class and classes five years out, including the ’07s as we plan for our five-year reunion! Dax Tejera was just elected VP of the Dartmouth Club of New York, and he is hoping that a lot of young alums in the city will turn out and run for the board now, too.
Luke Antal has moved to Washington, D.C., and works as the operations manager at LivingSocial Adventures (formerly Urban Escapes). If you live in D.C. give him a shout and grab a beer!
Christina Behrend has been living in Durham, North Carolina, for the past two years working toward an M.D./Ph.D. at Duke. She is in her third year now, about to start her Ph.D. Christina says, “I ran into Andrew Rand, who is a first-year pathology intern at Duke, a month ago. Just last week was out in San Francisco visiting Stephen Secules and Erin Demien while traveling around northern California. Looking forward to reunion next year!” Nadia Dawn now lives in the Bronx and just started her internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center.
Eric Trautmann joins the growing Bay Area crowd this fall as he starts a Ph.D. program in engineering at Stanford.
Sam Beattie just got a new job as a game designer at Zynga Boston. Now you can blame him directly for your Facebook addiction.
Raina Hammel married longtime boyfriend and fellow Dartmouth alumnus Richard Segal ’05. They were married with many Dartmouth friends present outside Raina’s hometown of Girdwood, Alaska. John Paul Lewicke also recently got married to Katrina Tree Bernstein. Ashley Taylor and Jason Meyer ’06 are engaged! They will be married in 2012.
