Class Note 2007
Issue
Mar - Apr 2017
Happy 2017, ’07s! It’s our year! After an interesting 2016, here’s to a year of hope, peace and happiness. See you all at the 10th-year reunion!
From Hilary Dionne, “In August Ross Tucker ’05 and I tied the knot at the Liberty Hotel in Boston. Many other Dartmouth cross-country and track and field alumni were there to celebrate with us, including a group run that morning with Brian Hanley ’05, Harry Norton ’08, Megan Olds Norton ’06, Melanie Schorr ’06, Neal Graves ’05, Sara Graves ’05, Susan Abramczyk Pohlmeyer ’06, Stephen Pohlmeyer ’04, John Welsh ’04, Liam Butler ’05 and Steve Mucchetti ’05. We were honored to have Nicole Mahr Cannizarro as our fantastic officiant. Other alumni guests included expat Kate van Brunt, Catherine Gilb Lacey and Erik Kankainen ’05.”
Sean Garren writes, “On December 12 Tall Heights, led by Paul Wright, headlined a sold-out concert at the Sinclair in Boston. In addition to their adoring fans, there were many Dartmouth folks there, including Kate Davison, Laura Flannery, Angela Fang and me from the class of 2007. Paul’s wife, Liz Vaughan, and my husband, Will DeKrey, represented the class of 2008.”
Sam Routhier shares, “I had the nicest time at Charlie Guthrie’s wedding to Vicky Sarmiento, NYU ’07. The wedding was on Fire Island, New York, and we had a day filled with beach games and a night of dancing by Long Island Sound. Stu Reid ’08 officiated and ’07s Nate Raines, Chris Cahill, Eric Trautmann, Pete Cooch and I were all in attendance.”
Rebecca Hoyt reports, “I just finished my student teaching (and the accompanying master’s from the University of New Haven) and will soon be certified to teach in Connecticut. I’m looking forward to finding a school to work in and to catching up with old friends at the reunion!”
Finally, Lisa Kircher announces, “Charlie Kircher and I had another baby in July—Annika Lee Kircher, whom we are calling Annie. She joins big brother Teddy. I am excited to not be pregnant at our 10th-year reunion and, yes, it was intentionally planned that way. Kevin Hudak is her godfather and came for the baptism. I also graduated with my master’s in education from the University of Cincinnati (UC) this past spring and I’m currently teaching preschool and being primary parent to our kids. Charlie has matched into the neurocritical care fellowship here at UC for when he finishes his emergency medicine residency next July, so we are in Cincinnati for a while.”
Thank you for the updates as usual, everyone. Keep them coming so we have something to talk about when we see each other in a few short months!
Cheers.
