Class Note 2007

Hello, ’07s! Ten years ago we would’ve just finished our first term at Dartmouth. Wow. Anyway, here we go!
Beily Pan just completed her M.B.A. from Kellogg this past June and started working in a rotational program with Sony Electronics based in San Diego. Her second rotation is in New Jersey starting from September, so she hopes to catch up with Dartmouth alums in the Tri-State Area soon.
Yuki Kondo-Shah moved to La Paz, Bolivia, to work as the assistant cultural affairs officer in the U.S. embassy, doing youth and indigenous outreach. She also got engaged to Phillip Chamberlain, who was a Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia from 2006 to 2008. “We’re always happy to host visitors so please come visit!”
Allan Reynolds moved to Amsterdam at the end of September with First Annapolis Consulting: “Would be great to see some familiar Dartmouth faces if anyone finds themselves in the Netherlands or nearby.”
Alexandra Garrison Barnett married Norman Barnett on April 27, 2013. Jessica Harris was maid of honor and ’07s in attendance included Dana Berry, Cristina Churchill, Melody Dai, Selina Davis, Fatima Kamara, Yuki Kondo-Shah, Esther Perman and Natalya Shulga.
Rashid Galadanci and Christina Douglas were married in May in Southampton, New York, and were overjoyed to have ’07s present, including Linda Okoye, Celeste Griffin-Churchill, Ben Selznick, Billy Accomando, best man Pooneet Kant, Anoop Rathod, Kapil Kale, John Ballard and Scott and Kristina (Guild) Douglass.
Victoria Solbert started at UC Berkeley this past fall for the master’s in development practice program. “I’m sure there are some other ’07s at Berkeley and would love to meet up!”
Sandra (Beutler) Sidi and her husband, Ram, welcomed their second son, Ethan Avner Sidi, on July 26, 2013. Their son Joseph Mark Sidi is turning 3 this October and loves his baby brother. When Sandi is not running after a toddler or a newborn she is working on finishing her first novel!
Ari Bezman writes, “After four years in N.Y.C. and two in Europe (Zurich, Paris) as a product manager at Google, I’m moving on to another gig at the company, this time in Singapore to work on getting people in emerging markets online. Wandering the world continues to be fun, and one of the joys of all this has been crossing paths with Dartmouth alums wherever I go.”
Laura Pearlstein Mills shares: “In June I officially went native after five years in London and married Hywel Mills (Cambridge ’07). We’re still happily living across the pond, but don’t be surprised if you run into us in New York in 2014, once the green card comes through!”
Michelle Davis announces that, “The ever-awesome Vivian Chung and Rena Fried ’08 are engaged, and I was able to attend their engagement party this summer with Meli Garber ’08 and my husband. They are also both in their first year at Wharton. I am so happy for them and just wanted to put it on blast!”
Melody Jones had an adorable baby boy August 15: “He is seriously the most adorable baby boy ever! Baby shower thrown by Samantha Ferguson, and our first Dartmouth visitor was Christina Luccio. His favorite hat is his Dartmoose hat, and it fits him well!”
Sri Batchu finished his M.B.A. at Harvard Business School in May and is currently living in Santa Monica, California, working for Universal Music co-managing a corporate venture capital fund as well as managing mergers and acquisitions transactions. He also shares that Andrew Seal and his wife, Samantha, just had a baby boy named Frederick a month ago!
Sofia Faruqi got engaged to Erik Desrosiers. They met in the M.B.A. program at Wharton and “will make a trip to Hanover soon so that Erik can see how wonderful Dartmouth is!”
Again, congrats to everyone!
