Class Note 2007

Issue

Jan - Feb 2013

Hello, class of 2007! Thank you for the overwhelming number of stories submitted for Class Notes last issue: Keep ’em coming! I wish you all a happy New Year, full of more stories of success, happiness and love!

First, Luke Antal married Athena Bogis (Tufts ’07) on October 6 in Framingham, Massachusetts. Foliage was in full swing and there were many Dartmouth folks in attendance. Athena and Luke are living in Norwalk, Connecticut, where Athena is a labor and delivery nurse and Luke is working at his premium entertainment ticketing startup, www.pavelife.com. Everyone, be sure to check out the link!

Sarah Uhl writes in to say that in September she moved to D.C. for a presidential management fellowship at the Environmental Protection Agency headquarters, where she focuses on protecting human health and the environment from toxic chemicals. She also says, “I’m enjoying reconnecting with Dartmouth friends here in the city, including my housemate Caitlin Potratz. Looking forward to more mini-reunions in the near future!”

Adlin Tuya is in her third year of law school at Stetson Law School and says that anyone visiting St. Petersburg, Florida, should get in touch with her!

Yuki Kondo-Shah just finished A-100 (orientation for incoming Foreign Service officers) and found out her first posting—as public diplomacy officer in the embassy in La Paz, Bolivia! Congrats, Yuki!

After moving to Brooklyn, New York, earlier this year, Jarrett Cato has jumped into the N.Y.C. live music circuit, performing his original tracks at venues including Tammany Hall and SOBs. He continues to serve as product director for a new social network designed to help people express their interests and connect with others who share them.

Dylan Gee recently married Dave Anderson ’04 at the Round Barn Farm in Vermont. Among the Dartmouth attendees were ’07s Jessie Stoll, Lauren Edgar, Kathryn Funderburk, Lauren Betzing, Killarney Loufek, Tasha Sterling, Kelly McLaughlin, Mirelle Phillips, Quig Bruning, Abe Clayman, Jeremy Feldman and Shamir Kapadia. “It was a wonderful time and a great excuse for a reunion!”

Daniel Joseph shares, “I graduated from med school last year. Right now I’m a resident physician in emergency medicine at L.A. County/USC Medical Center, which has been awesome. It’s a pretty amazing place: The military sends its trauma surgeons and combat medics here for training because of the amount of craziness we see, so it should be an intense but very cool couple of years. I also got married last year to my wife, Melissa, also an ER resident. We live in Los Angeles. Unfortunately I had to miss our 5th year because of orientation, but I can’t wait to get back to Hanover.”

Lastly, Lisa Kircher writes, “Kevin Hudak came out to St. Louis, Missouri, to visit me while Charlie Kircher was doing an away rotation in Denver. We went to Columbia, Missouri, to visit Scott Glabe ’06 and his wife, Mindy, for their son’s first birthday. Kevin also got some great BBQ while in St. Louis! While in Denver Charlie stayed with Greg Boynton’s parents. Greg and his wife, Jen, welcomed baby girl Diana while Charlie was out there, and Charlie also met up with Heather Strack while out there. My buddy Abberley Debellis recently moved to the Bay Area and started work at Google. She was working for Mercedes, technically Daimler Chrysler, in New Jersey in the five years since graduation.” Now that is a Dartmouth-connected story!

That’s it for now. Hope to hear from you all soon!
